We often encourage our clients and friends to go out and explore Chicagoland’s many outdoor spaces. We love to support local parks and events!

Supporting Local Earth-Friendly Initiatives

Keep an eye out for local initiatives that combine pet-friendly activities with environmental themes, such as clean-up drives in parks and beaches. Several organizations in downtown Chicago, Elmhurst, and other nearby areas offer park clean-up events, particularly around Earth Day.

The Chicago Park District, in partnership with Friends of the Parks, is hosting a citywide cleanup this Saturday, April 26, 2025. The Illinois Prairie Path is also doing a cleanup on that day, focusing on the Prairie Path and Great Western Trails. Additionally, the Elmhurst Park District offers volunteer opportunities at Keith A. Olson Prairie on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 9am-Noon in February, March, April, September, October, and November. Volunteers as young as 15 are welcome!

Prioritizing Sustainability

Engaging in sustainable practices extends beyond just waste disposal and park clean-ups. Take a look at the products you purchase for your pet.
