Certifications & Memberships

Floofins & Co offers piece of mind. We are a proud (and certified) member of NAPPS, and a supporting member of IAABC.

National Association of Professional Pet Sitters

The National Association of Professional Pet Sitters (NAPPS) is the source for everything animal owners need to know about hiring a professional pet sitter. NAPPS Certification acknowledges the pet sitter as a serious professional who has obtained a high level of expertise through personal study by completing a course in pet care, health, nutrition and behavior, as well as a complete pet first aid and CPR course.

International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants

The IAABC was founded in 2004, recognizing that the practice of assisting the public with companion animal behavior problems was a growing field that encompassed many different professionals: veterinarians, animal trainers, animal shelter employees, academics as well as practicing consultants who didn’t always fit neatly into one of the aforementioned categories. IAABC members work to minimize the use of aversive stimuli and maximize the effective use of reinforcers to modify animal behavior. The LIMA (least intrusive and minimally aversive) principle is useful as a general rule.
