Dog moms are the heart and soul of Floofins & Co., and in the Chicago suburbs, we’re lucky to know so many who go above and beyond for their furry and feline family members. In fact, the majority of our primary clients are proud dog and cat moms, and their dedication is evident in every interaction we have, from the first consultation to the last tail wag or purr at the end of a visit.

National Dog Mom Day

National Dog Mom’s Day was established in 2018 by Dig, a dog person’s dating app, to celebrate and honor women who love and care for their dogs like family. Observed annually on the second Saturday in May, just before Mother’s Day, this special day recognizes dog moms, foster dog moms, and future dog moms for the devotion and nurturing they provide to their furry companions.

By creating a day separate from traditional Mother’s Day, National Dog Mom’s Day gives dog moms a unique opportunity to celebrate their special bond with their pups and the important role they play as caregivers and advocates for their pets’ well-being.

National Cat Mom Day

Because there isn’t yet a specific “National Cat Mom Day”, most people celebrate cat moms on National Cat Lady Day, which is observed annually on April 19th. But, because we don’t like to discriminate, we’re celebrating both dog and cat moms today. When you think about it, there is no difference in who you “mom” as long as you love your kid, dog, cat, or critter with all your heart!

One of the most inspiring things about our pet moms is how diligently they plan for their pets’ happiness and well-being, even when life gets busy. Whether it’s a day trip into the city or a week-long vacation, our dog and cat mom clients are proactive about scheduling walks, playtime, and pet sitting services well in advance. They know that routine and reliability are key for their pets’ comfort, and they trust our team at Floofins & Co. to deliver the same level of care they provide themselves.
