National Love Your Pet Day, celebrated on February 20th, is a day that encourages pet owners to spend time with the furry friends and show them love. However, we know that you do this pretty much every day!! We asked several of our staff and valued customers why they love their pets, and here’s what they said.

“I have been blessed to have dogs as part of my family for my entire life! I didn’t know I could love as much as I loved Farrah when I first adopted her. She is truly my soul mate and it was love at first sight. I have loved her more and more every single day. She is my rock, best friend, therapist, snuggle buddy and furry daughter. She has this power to look at me with her sweet eyes and make everything else disappear. She cracks me up with her vivid, active dreams. She has these great ears that are constantly changing position and sometimes make her look like Yoda, which is so fitting because she acts like this wise, old woman!! “Treats, you shall give me.”

And then there was 2 furry kids in our lives when we adopted our husky pup, Brew. Farrah always loved playing with us when we weren’t snuggled on the couch, but her playful spirit really came out when Brew came into our lives! He is a riot and makes us laugh every day with his chatty husky vocalizations (Brew-roo-roos), crazy hopping jumps onto the couch and zoomies around Farrah. They are constantly snuggling together, but never too far from myself or boyfriend.

I was able to combine my love of animals with my need for a great job. And I found it with Floofins! I am able to go out and see all of our clients and then when I return home to continue my office work, my dogs curl up next to me while thoroughly sniffing me with investigative and disapproving eyes; “How dare you spend time with other dogs?!” They get over it pretty quickly though. It hardly ever feels like work, but more like an extension of my furry family!”

“I love that my boys bring me so much joy when I come home from work! Rocco is 7 years old and has been with me through so many ups and downs in my life! ❤️ Clark is only 7 months old and keeps Rocco on his toes! He’s been the most wonderful addition to our home! Rocco and Clark both love their Floofins walkers!

“What’s not to love? Hugo’s always by my side, whether I’m doing laundry, book work or when I’m sick. He always greets me when I come home and is right by the door with his tail wagging, so happy to see me. No matter how good or bad my day might have been, when I see him, it always makes it better. The best is how excited he gets enjoying such simple pleasures, like walks, riding in the car, going to the park, a hug, and being with us. The absolute best is when I lean down to pet and hug him, Hugo leans his whole face into my chest, right on my heart so hard I have to keep myself from falling over! It truly warms my heart and I don’t mean figuratively!”

“Cats are picky about who they choose to love, so when they choose to love you, it’s quite special. And they love me unconditionally. I’ve had several cats; all of whom have had their distinctive and unique personalities. One I had for 19 years and he was my close companion. He’d snuggle with me as we slept, come running to the door when I got home, and followed me around. It broke my heart when I finally had to say goodbye. But now I have a new little guy and our relationship is proving to be another strong bond. I love when they want to cuddle – each of them have their own special way of coming up to me and pushing their heads into my hands or body to show their love.”
