While some people bring dogs into their lives for specific reasons, such as: protection or an assistance animal, most people have dogs as a companion and member of their family. Our dogs are there to have fun with and enjoy and this should be reflected in all aspects of their lives with us.

Anything that is exciting and enjoyable for my dogs I call “dog fun”!  Taking them to the dog park, doing training, going to agility shows, or setting up a “find it” game are just a few of the things that I know my dogs love. Do you regularly do something fun specifically for your dog?

Take the time to enrich your dog’s life. When training, have fun with them and don’t sweat the small stuff. When living with them, laugh at their silliness. When taking them out, smile at their enjoyment of something new. Dogs don’t live nearly long enough so savor all the time you have with them. Keep fun in their lives and in the process you’ll have fun too. If you have watched Sponge Bob Square Pants you might have seen this episode already, but if not, check out this song. You’ll be singing and having fun in no time!
