Michele’s Tuesday Dog Training Tip – Keep Learning.

September 27, 2011 by Michele Hatley Leave a Comment

Continuing Education Is Key For Anyone Who Owns Or Works With Animals

Last week I was in Miami for an annual conference for those in, or interested in, the marine mammal training field. Trainers from around the world presented different articles and stories on the animals that they work with. They shared successes and challenges and how they were able to accomplish their goals.

There are some incredible trainers out there and we can all learn something from each of them. Conferences such as these don’t only apply to the zoological or aquarium field, but anyone interested in training. There is even an annual conference called “Clicker Expo”, for people passionate about dog training.

I want you to keep learning (you and your animals) and seek help when you need it because there are plenty of people out there who have the expertise and experience to help you! We can all keep learning in order to better ourselves as trainers and doing this will only help our animals too.
