Michele Hatley’s Tuesday Dog Training Tip – Just Start Training

Author: Michele Hatley

Start Training – It’s Never Too Early Or Too Late

In an earlier post I wrote about how training is happening all the time whether we are aware of it or not. Since it’s constantly occurring, that means it’s never too early or too late to start using positive reinforcement.

Young puppies’ brains are like sponges and adult or senior dogs can be eager to learn too! Take advantage of their motivation and use it as an opportunity to teach them something new.

Don’t wait to start training that 8 week old puppy until he turns 6 months old – start now! The more involved and proactive you are the more likely you are to curb problem behaviors before they start!
