Most everyone will have heaved a collective sigh by the time this reaches you. Sending 2020 packing feels like a huge accomplishment, particularly for small businesses like Floofins & Co.
We didn’t have the year we had originally planned. All of the events and celebrations (NAPPS Business of the Year and our 10-year anniversary) we had in the works had to be tabled. There wasn’t a way to celebrate as planned because of shutdowns and folks generally being home all the time.
We feel gratitude for the folks who have supported us in many generous ways. Floofins & Co. was honored to provide pet care for front line workers and first responders. We had the chance to implement some new services, like training and pack adventure walks.
Despite the uncertainty and decreased need for daily pet care, we are thrilled to be plunging forward into 2021 as an intact and solid company. We aren’t out of the woods yet, but we owe each one of our staff, clients, and floofins a huge shout out for sticking with us.
What does founder Kristin Skelton see on the horizon as she looks into the upcoming year?
“I’m looking forward to taking the anticipated downtime in the first quarter to improve our service menu” she said. “Additional, we will enhance our operational and hiring/training processes and procedures.”
She added that she is “hopeful that Spring will bring back a vacation service comeback of a lifetime as people begin to travel again. Bringing back our furloughed team members is our top priority.”
We are choosing to believe that 2021 will be a return to the routines and activities we loved so much before March 2020 slowly shuttered those experiences. We wish you a Happy New Year and look forward to spending time with your floofins soon.
