Tails on the Trails, the Morton Arboretum’s beloved season-opening event, has arrived! Held annually, this dog-friendly extravaganza offers a delightful blend of canine camaraderie, outdoor exploration, and educational fun for the whole family. This year, Tails on the Trails is scheduled for Sunday, May 5th from 7 AM to sundown. Let’s discuss Tails on the Trails: a springtime celebration at the Morton Arboretum. We hope to see you there!
Tails on the Trails: Pet Expo
Tails on the Trails is a celebration of the bond between humans and their canine companions. From the moment you enter the Arboretum’s gates, dog-friendly vendors line the event’s on-site pet expo, offering everything from gourmet treats and stylish bandanas to informative consultations with pet care providers and experts.
As we have done over many years, Floofins & Co. will be hosting a booth at the 2024 event. This year, we’ve partnered with GreenLine Pet Supply and Treats By William. In addition to mingling with the local community and catching up with friends and clients, we will be giving away logo poop bags and custom dog treats. Beyond promoting our exceptional services, we’ll be sharing our passion for GreenLine’s landfill biodegradable poop bags, and Treats by William’s very special treats – created by an advocate for Autism and made with natural ingredients for cats and dogs.
Tails on the Trails: Adoption Event
In addition to the event’s dog-oriented shopping experience, aimed at spotlighting local businesses and organizations, attendees have the opportunity to adopt dogs and learn about volunteering at local animal shelters. How fun is that?! Following are just a few of the local organizations that will be represented during 2024’s Tails on the Trails:
As Good as Gold – Golden Retriever Rescue of Illinois
Common Ground Community Rescue Network
Tails on the Trails: Adventures Await
Once you’ve stopped by to say hello to the vendors and grabbed up your dog’s custom Floofins & Co. treat and poop bags, it’s time to explore.
The Morton Arboretum boasts 16+ miles of scenic trails, perfect for a relaxing stroll or an invigorating hike with your crew. As you meander along the paths, take a moment to appreciate the breathtaking beauty of the Arboretum’s diverse flora and local fauna. Spring will be bursting with color – and scents – that your dog can enjoy from the trails.
Tails on the Trails: Fun for the Whole Family
Tails on the Trails isn’t just for the dogs; it’s a fun-filled day for the whole family. From music to interactive activities for dogs and kids alike, the event is designed to spark curiosity about the natural world and bring families together for a day of fun.
Tails on the Trails is a celebration of the joy that dogs bring to our lives. It’s a reminder of the importance of spending quality time outdoors, appreciating nature’s beauty, and forging deeper connections with the furry members of our families. As vendors, we love to support the Arboretum’s vision of a greener, healthier, more beautiful world where people, trees, and pets thrive together!
